JOURNAL 09/29/2009Today we had the memorial service to say goodbye to my Gigi who went to heaven last month. Mom and Dad were nervous about me sitting in church for 45 minutes but boy did I surprise everyone! When we got to the church I sang my "God made the sun" song for the Priest. He was so impressed that he asked if I would sing it during the service when he called me up. I was willing....so there I sat....chomping at the bit to get up and sing. I got up in front of the whole church and sang at the top of my lungs (for an example of what I sang, see my video clips). Let me tell you folks, there wasn't a dry eye in the house after that. Everyone applauded (a first at a funeral service I am quite sure). It made everyone so happy and I am sure my Gigi was smiling from Heaven. We all miss you Gigi, but we know you are watching over us. We will visit you in our dreams. |
