Halloween 07 posted on 11/01/2007
Halloween sure was fun. Can you guess who I was?? I didn't actually go trick or treating this year, but I went to my Grandparents neighborhood and went to visit friends. It was a good time. When we got home I didn't really enjoy people coming to my house to ask for candy. Every time the doorbell rang I cried and freaked out. My parents tried to make me feel better by bringing me to the door to see the silly people dressed up, but it didn't help. At one point I chucked my pacifier at the people standing on the porch. Oh yeah, and I tried to shut the door in the face of another group of people. Maybe next year I will have better manners :) Muahahahahah (that's my evil Halloween laugh incase you didn't know!) Anyway, I added lots of pictures from all of the Halloween festivities. Enjoy! Ty

10-18-07 Hi everyone! Just a quick update of the last month....... My newest friend Daniel was born on October 10th. I am so happy---he and Annabelle and I are going to have alot of fun together. Speaking of friends, Bailey (or Baby as I call her) and I have become the best of friends. I love to sniff her face and try to kiss her. Oh yeah, and I like to stand behind her as she wags her tail. I think it's pretty funny when her tail hits me in the face. I LOVE Elmo. He is my favorite. I get really focused when I watch the Elmo video that Nana bought me. I like to sing along and dance to it! I keep learning lots of words, and just a word of caution to all, I try to repeat most of what I hear. I am getting good at brushing my teeth. I love to dip my toothbrush under the running water, then suck the water off of it. I may be young, but I am already learning some good bedtime stall tactics. The days of going right to sleep are OVER! When I know it's time for bed, I like to play with EVERY toy that lights up and makes loud noises, and I run around my room like a crazy man. Then once my parents decide it really is time for bed, I like to tell them "eat". I am not really hungry, but once in a while it works and I get to go out to the other room as they try to feed me. I won't actually eat though! If the eat thing doesn't work, I move on to the disco party. From my crib I can reach the light switch, so on and off, on and off, on and off it goes!! Then if that doesn't work I toss everything from my crib! I am pretty sure my parents are on to me, and my stall tactics have been discovered. Darn! This weekend we are going to pick out a pumpkin, then the following weekend is Halloween. I can't wait to see what I am going to be...............Until then....... Love Ty

It sure has been a busy month. Since returning from our Keys vacation I have been to the Florida Aquarium and Clearwater Aquarium, my best girlfriends Mia and Annabelle turned 1, and I attended a baby shower for my new buddy Daniel (he is going to be here sometime in October). Most mornings before my Dad goes to work, he takes me to the park. We have the best time- we collect pine cones, chase ducks, swing, climb the rock wall and walk around the lake. He always makes sure to send Mom pictures of our outings from his camera phone. Let's see, what else.......Oh, I really like to color now. Crayons are so much fun! I only tried to taste the green one once----it wasn't that good. Maybe I should have tried purple instead! I am also really good at knowing my body parts. I love to say elbow (bebow) and knee and I like to point out where everyone's is. My belly button is pretty cool too. Be warned though, if you ask me where my belly button is I will show you, but I will expect to see yours too. For some reason my mom isn't real keen on showing me her belly button when we have company. What's up with that! I really like to climb and whether I am going up or down I say UP. I am learning new words every day. I can now say Nana, Grandpa (popop), Grandma (momom), thank you (teetoo), apple, hello, oval, purple, yellow and all kinds of other stuff. Everyday is something new! Next event will be Halloween. I wonder what my parents will dress me up as. It better be good! Well, that's about it for my update. Love you all! Ty

I had such a great time on my first vacation in the Florida Keys. My friends Annabelle and Mia came down with their parents to visit. It was great to hang out with them everyday. We played in the pool, went to see the big Tarpon at Robbies, and even went for a boat ride (which I hated- what's with that constricting lifejacket!?). It took me a little while to get used to sleeping in a pack and play, but I loved being in the same room with mom and dad. I loved it so much that every night around 2am I decided to have a little one man party. I tried to get my parents to join in on the fun, but they just wanted to sleep. I especially enjoyed being able to wake mom and dad up by honking their noses!! I ate fish for the first time, and liked it. At first I freaked out becuase mom said she was giving me Dolphin. WHAT, I AM EATING FLIPPER??? Then she assured me it was Mahi Mahi, a fish called "Dolphin" that Dad, Grandpa and Dylan caught earlier that day . Whew!!! Anyway, it was a great trip. Can't wait till next year!! Maybe my parents wiil let me catch some lobster!

One week from today I will be heading south for my very first trip to the Florida Keys. I keep hearing everyone say what fun we are going to have- I can't wait. Grandpa Huna says I am going to have my first taste of lobster while we are there. Not so sure about that! Right now I am trying really hard to say Duck, and Rock (I have already mastered the word Yuck!). Today I saw Mommy drinking her coffee and I said HOT (in my own way of course-but Mommy sure knew what I meant). I am getting really good at pointing at my eyes, nose, ears, belly button and feet. I am not too fond of being told NO. I am pretty sensitive, so if Mom or Dad tells me NO, I have to run over and give them a hug and a kiss. A new fun game I have started is called, "Let's see what I can put through the doggie door". You can use just about anything for this game; a sippy cup, toys, puzzle pieces, dog toys, my teddy bear, a ball. Here's how you play. You put the object out the door, run over to the french doors to get a look at your handy work, you giggle, then try to make a break for the outside as mom and dad go to collect the object. It really fun- I recommend it! Well, this will be my last update until we return from our trip. Stay tuned.

Hi everyone! What a great time I am having this summer. I love to go to the park and go on the swings. My Nana takes me there almost every day. How lucky am I!! Mom and Dad take me to the beach and the pool alot. I love being ouside. Oh yeah, and I had my first ice cream cone on the 4th of July. It was AWESOME!! My teeth are coming in like crazy. I have four on top and two on bottom. Finally after all this time I have some chops! My new favorite game to play is called Disco!! I can reach the light switch from my crib now, and have mastered turning it on and off. When it's time for a nap, or bedtime I have a little party first. Pretty soon I am going on my first Keys vacation. I am so excited. My friends Mia and Annabelle are going to come for a visit while we are there. It'll be fun to hang in the pool with my good buddies! I am sure mom and dad will have a ton of pictures to post when we get back.

Dad, I want to thank you for making me so happy and being the best Dad ever! You are so much fun to play with. I appreciate you showing me all of your silly tricks and fun games. Your hugs and kisses are the best, and when I am not feeling well no one can comfort me quite like you. You are always there when I need you. I have so much fun when it's bathtime. Don't worry, I won't tell mom that you let me soak the entire bathroom floor (and ceiling). You read me the best stories at bedtime and every morning I look forward to the pancakes you make me. There is nothing better than spending time with you. When I grow up I hope I can be just like you. Happy Father's Day! I love you! A little boy needs Daddy For many, many things: Like holding him high off the ground Where the sunlight sings! Like being the deep music That tells him all is right When he awakens frantic with The terrors of the night. Like being the great mountain That rises in his heart And shows him how he might get home When all else falls apart. Like giving him the love That is his sea and air, So diving deep or soaring high He'll always find him there.

My fabulous birthday weekend............... What a great time I had this weekend. On Saturday all of my friends and family came over to help me celebrate my 1st birthday. It was such a fun party. I had my very first taste of cake. I liked it, but I wasn't too fond of getting it all over my hands and face. I was pretty much ready to be done with it before I even started. I had a good time playing with my friends Annabelle, Ryan, Sadi, Hannah, Jace, Makayla and Conor. Oh yeah, and I got lots of neat gifts. I keep hearing mom and dad say we need a bigger house now to fit all of the stuff in! On Sunday my parents took me to the zoo to celebrate my actual birthday. I had a blast seeing all the animals and especially liked petting the stingrays in the touch tank. I heard my mom make a comment about how I don't want to get cake on my hands yet I had no problem touching slimy, wet stingrays. She just doesn't get it I guess! After the zoo (and a very long afternoon nap) the birthday celebration continued at Dairy Curl. Mom and Dad have been taking me there for months and months and I have been patiently waiting for my own ice cream. I usually sit there and eat my cereal puffs (boring!) while everyone else enjoys their delicious frozen treat. Well, FINALLY I got my own ice cream. I guess you get special treatment on your birthday or something! Anyway, it was AWESOME!!!!!!! What a great day I had. Before I go, I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Samantha, Brandon and Mia. Sorry you couldn't be at my party. I missed you, but we will all play with my new toys soon! Love ya---Ty!
