JOURNAL walkingposted on 09/20/2008 We are in full walking mode. She has been walking here and there and cruising for a few months, but she is really getting confident walking. She wore her little pink hightops this week which helped her balance I am sure. Olivia has been sick all week. The doctor says its likely due to teething. Last week she had a slight fever here and there and this week loose stools. She is in good spirits as usual though. Right now she is behind me talking, dancing , and playing with her new leap frog school bus from Matt, Lindsay, and Conner. She got it yesterday in the mail and has been going gah gah for it since.
Grandma and Grandpa Bryant are coming next weekend, so I have got to get this place cleaned up and get this girl well. I am sure it is just teething though Comments (0) Back in Business posted on 09/09/2008 We have been so busy lately. We celebrated Olivia's birthday one month ago today. What a great time we had at her big bash. She was such a trooper. We went to see the doctor August 18th to find that she now weigs a wopping 19 pounds 2 ounces. She is saying alot of words and walks a few steps here and there. She is really getting to be a big girl. We posted what pictures we have from cousin Shirley and a few from our camera Comments (0) approaching 11 months posted on 06/22/2008 Hello Everyone, Well I had my first swimming lesson on Saturday. I am a natural and I loved every minute. Mom and dad were worried because of our experience at the water park in Kentucky. I now say uh-oh and mom and dad are pretty sure I know what a dog is, and say dog when I see one. I think its a stretch. I am also really good at repeating words and sounds mom and dad make. Well keep checking back. I am really growing. Love Olivia Comments (0) We're Back posted on 06/13/2008 Alot has happened since I put an entry in. Olivia has 4 teeth now. She took her second plane ride last week when we went to see Chad, Shelley, and Emmy Graber, and Grandma and Grandapa Bryant. We had a great time. Olivia ate her first real banana. She now refuses little pieces but wants to take her wn bite from it. We also discovered that she likes animal crackers while we were in kentucky. We are trying to get Miss Olivia off the bottle before her first birthday which is only two months away. We will be having a birthday party for her at our Peoria church as I call it. It is the same church that Michael and I were married in. Olivia is crawling all over the place and pulling herself up. She started walking a few steps while holding on to the item she pulled herself up on. We are amazed by her. She is sooooo smart. Michael was giving her some pasta pickups cut up the other night. She obviously didn't like them. He tried to sneak them into her sweet potatoes but she was on to him in no time. Olivia still has to have nebulizer treatments occasionally. We are hoping she will outgrow that soon. She doesn't have asthma or allergies so who nows? Comments (0) Grandma and Grandpa Bryant's visit posted on 05/03/2008 Well Grandma and Grandpa are here. They came because Mom was supposed to have radioactive iodine treatment this weekend but was still too toxic. Three more weeks hopefully. They took me to have pictures taken yesterday. Mom kept saying how cute I was. I have to say the pictures turned out well. We had alot taken. Mom will upload them to the website soon. I am standing up while holding on to things and today I pulled myself up on one of my toys. I fell of course but no damage done, Well I have to get back to Grandpa. He just loves to play with me. Love Olivia Comments (0) Our Big Girl posted on 04/18/2008 Olivia really seems to be learning alot. SHe now waves bye-bye(when she wants to only of course). She has mastered crawling backwards as well. She can sit up from a lying down position and is able to move herself around to see the dog and crack up at him. Her mommy is so proud--can't tell at all can you? We saw an allergist two weeks ago and determined she does not have asthma or any other common allergies at this time. Yippeeee!!!! She seems to be feeling so much better all around, so hopefully we can schedule her 6 month immunizations(now that she is 8 months old). Time flies. She is getting to be such a big girl. We stopped in at Aunt Karins and saw Grandma and Grandpa Dresden and Uncle Tom. Mom forgot the camera for both occasions so hopefully everyone else took great pics. We hope to see Conner and Cole again very soon. Maybe a mommy and baby weekend. We can't wait to meet Oliwa and Skipp's twins, ODIN AND GINGER. We are at grandma and grandpa Bryant's house and we got to visit with Great grandma and Grandpa Whetstone tonight. Olivia got a new toy from aunt Vera. She loves it. Comments (0) Olivia's first ambulance ride posted on 02/16/2008 Olivia made a grand entrance to William Beaumont Hospital Wednesday morning. After three visits to the doctor and three breathing treatments her spo2 level was 83 %. This means she was not transferring oxygen well. The doctor called the ambulance to the office where she was loaded on and taken with sirens and lights. She of course was smiling through it all. Wheezing like crazy but relatively still her happy self. She was taken to the pediatric er where she had a chest xray, hour long breathing treatment and was hooked to oxygen. She was admitted and taken to a room around 3pm. Wednesday night was a long one as she was on oxygen along with two other monitors which confined the space she could move in her shared hospital room. Thursday morning we saw a drastic improvement. They eventually took her off oxygen. She had to be without it for 6 hours before they would let us take her home. They sent us home Thursday night with a nebulizer for 2-3 treatments per day. Although she had RSV, the treatments seemed to help HER. They typically don't help much with RSV babies. She is doing great but still not sleeping in her crib as she has to be quite elevated. She is still wheezy at time and coughing alot. Runny nose too. We are so happy that she is alright and appreciate all the prayers and well wishes. We posted some new pictures today as well. Comments (0) |
