Centre Island

We took the kids to Centre Island today. We wanted to do something really fun and just nice for the family today and have been to the zoo too many times to count, didn't want the Science Centre and definitely wanted to keep it outdoors. I packed a picnic, loaded up the car with double stroller, suntan lotion, diapers, wipes, extra clothes and of course the family...and off we went.
Elie had the best time ever. He rode on every possible ride several times, his smile as wide as I have ever seen it! He even enjoyed the rides so much that half way through his ice cream cone he told me he didn't want anymore so that he could ride some more.
All evening he was talking about the train ride he took and everything he saw while on the train. It was awesome!!
Mikayla even had a good time too but she didn't get to ride since she is a little too small- and she refused to wear her hat so I wanted to keep her in the stroller, protected by the sunshade! She was smiling the whole day with the exception of the few moments when I tried to put that hat on her head!
All in all we had a great day- no major meltdowns and great memories for all!!
