Elie has been growing, laughing and learning so much over the past few months. He has gone from baby to toddler right before our eyes. He definitely has very specific likes and dislikes and has absolutely no problems communicating to us what those are!! His vocabulary has been expanding daily and he repeats EVERYTHING we say. Right now his favourite word is MORE, as in give me MORE milk, more cookies, more banana...whatever it is he wants more!!
His word list is quite varied and large. He has a definite love of balls and trains and uses the word doodoo for choochoo...even when we drive by the train tracks he knows exactly what he is looking at and likes to tell us!!
Elie is continuing with his swimming lessons and has been learning to blow bubbles and dunk his head under the water! He isn't too fond of the plank/board but we think he will get used to it in no time!

Elie knows where his baby sister is hiding and he likes to say hello and give her kisses, but today he told us HE has a baby is HIS tummy so we're pretty sure he hasn't quite made the connection between the baby in mommy's tummy and the real babies he sees day to day.
It is very cute to hear his exclaim BBABY every time he sees another little one is a stroller or infant carrier! Some of the other mommies get a kick out of hearing him shout baby!!

Elie's love of food is still going strong. He seems to favour food with lots of flavour and shys away from bland food (just like mom and dad!!). Of course he loves his grandma's chicken soup with loction or matza balls. Avacado and tomatoes with cucumbers are his favourite salad fixings! and I have to admit he does like french fries with ketchup (which he only gets once in a while)

We're trying to start toilet training...not really doing so well right now but hopefully he'll just "get it" one day and we won't have a long battle on our hands!!
