Today ended up being quite a long day. My doctor claled me at 4:00 and told me I needed to go to Labor and Delivery to be monitored aftre my u/s was done. So I went down to get my u/s and they told me that my appt was not at 4:45 on Thursday, it was Wednesday at 5:00! So needless to say I was pissed because my Doctor's office is the one who set up the appt for me. So I then walked down to Labor and Delivery and by the time my 2 min walk was done I was contracting even worse than my every 5 mins that I had been experiencing. At that point it was every min or less. So, they hooked me up to the monitors and my nurse called my doc rather quickley because I was contracting so often. So, suprise, suprise they gave me a shot of Terb. and another pill of Terb. and a shot because the contractions were making me get sick. Then, just like every other time it didn't help and I was still getting sick. So, to make a really long story shorter, after 25 mg. or Terb. and three different shots to help my sickness, I was still contracting. The nurse checked me and said i was about a two and she believes 100% effaced. She said it felt like she could push right into the uterus. So the doctor then ordered a major muscle relaxing medication and well, I have no memory of anything after than but my hubby said that we went home and I slept really hard. Until 1am when that med wore off and contractions started back in harder than ever. Well, I guess we will see what the day brings.

Well after contracting all day with my contractions about 10 - 15 mins apart at about 5ish they got to about 5 mins apart and then at about 6pm they were less than 3 mins apart. So, we went on down to the hospital and they hooked me up and monitored me for 1 1/2 hours. The nurse checked my cervex and I am still a 1 at 50% thank god. So they gave me another 5mg shot and 5 mg pill of terbutaline. Didn't do any good but they sent me home anyways. Sometimes I wonder why even go to the hospital anyways.

July 30 - So I went to the doctor today. He said that he has been thinking alot about my contractions and said that he believes that they are pretty much related to my four herniated discs. So what he is going to do is an amneocenthis on September 5th and if Dean's lungs are ready his will go ahead and deliver that day. The provess of celievery is still yet to be determined due to the fact that I have not yet started the attempt of turning the baby. We will pretty much have to wait until my next appt on August 13th to do another ultrasound and check out Dean's position and weight again.

Back to the hospital again today. Contractions started again last night and continued to get worse throughout the night and early morning. So, I went down there and they gave me another shot of terbutaline along with an oral pill of terbutaline. Boy, that was fun! Anyways, 10mg of terbutaline still didn't stop the contractions, they just got smaller. So, doc said try to make it at least two more weeks and if I can't he is going to admit me and put me on Magneisum. So, I am going to do me best to not have that happen.

Well, I have been doing good so far this week. No problems, just staying down as much as possible. So far so good!

So I had to go back to the hospital again. The Terbutaline is making me soooo sick. I am having full body cramping, soreness, it is making me trow up about once an hour and all of that is making my contractions come back full force. plus I am dialated to a 1. All they did for me is give my an anit-nausa pill and another shot of terbutaline on top of my pill that I have to take every four hours. On the flip side I had my baby shower today as well. That didn't quit get the outcome that was expected. I had 22 people RSVP within the five days before the shower and only 6 showed up. That really sucked. But my sister-in-law and mother put on a great shower anyways. It was really nice.

Well, I just got home from the hospital again. I had been contracting since Wednesday afternoon every ten min. So they put me back on terbutaline, oh fun fun fun!!!Needless to say i am shaking like a leaf again and sicker than a dog. But oh well, what ever keep my little guy safe I guess I will have to do.

So I went to my ultrasound this evening and the baby measurements are about 2-3 weeks larger than my due date. Which is good due to the fact that he will be delivered at 36 weeks. He is weighing in at 3lbs. 9oz. and is already practice breathing constantly.
