OMG!!!! I went down to the hospital last night everything seemed to go well. I woke up this morning and about 9am started getting back pains and cramping so I told my nurse that I needed something to relax my back or I would start contracting. She decided not to give me anything because she daid "back pain comes with pregnancy" so I needed to deal with it. Even though i have four herniated discs. Anywho, so just like I thought, I started contracting by about 10am. So I was laying there and a hospital socal worker came in and said that my doctor had spoke with her and said that he wanted to try to send me home tomorrow morning and wanted me to go home with a home health nurse and a hospital bed(OK?). So I spoke with her and said taht the nurse would be bad but I didn't need a bed. So, she came back later, mind you I am still contracting because my nurse would not give me any meds even though that is why I was there, anyways I signed a paper for the nurse to contact me that following day. Then a bit later about 3pmm I started feeling light headed because I forgot and I was laying on my right side so i had my hubby prop me up onto my left side with pillows. But, hubby had to go back to work so he left. Well, I started getting really faint so i called the nurse in. She took her sweet ass time and I passed out in the mean time. Well I woke to her slapping me and yelling my name. I had the blood pressure cuff on and the oxygen saturation finger thing on already when I woke up. So, then she got me oxygen and left the room. I called her back in about 20 mins latre and asked since she wont give me meds if I can sit in the shower to ease my back pain. She said that was fine. So when I got outta the shower the Social Worker came back into my room while I was sleeping and woke me up. She started accusing me of (1) faking my blacking out (2) buzzing the nurses to much (3) faking my contractings (4) rithing (over acting). She said Ineed to see a phycotheripest. So I told her I didn't need to take that shit and I was going to leave. I started getting up and she proceded to hold me down by my shoulders, so I told her to let go of me and tried to get up again, she held me down again, so a bit louder I told her to let me go, so I tried to get up once more and I threw my legs over the side of the bed and sat on the edge and she then grabbed me by the back of my shoulders and started pulling me backwards! I screamed for her to let me the F*** GO!!! At that point about 3 nurses ran into the room and she jetted! So then it became this whole internat personal issue soi had to file reports and all I wanted to do was leave. But I was told if I did leave without my doctors concent that they would call CPS on me and I could loose the baby when he is born! So, i waited for my doctor to come in. Then some guy came in and he was from MENTAL HEALTH!! She friggin lady said I threw a teleophone at her!!! On top of that the nursing staff apparently had claimed that I "push on my contraction meter" to make my contractions larger than they really are, and the list just went on and on! I was sooooo up set I told him that none of what he stated was true or even close to the truth. So, i am home now and plan on staying there. My doc is totally up in arms over the whole situation as my husband and I are. I don't even know if I am going to go through with my c-section next week because I really don't want to go back to that hospital. I am so upset and confused!!!!

I ended up back at the hospital around 3:30ish because I was having problems breathing again. The nurse went down to the ER and got a doctor from down there since my doctor was in a surgery and the ER doctor said it was two things that were causeing me to passout and feel like I cant breathe. One being, the baby is putting pressure on the artary(sp) on my side that bring the oxygen to my heart which in turn brings the oxygen to my brain. So that is causeing the light headedness and me fainting. The other thing is that I start to reall stress out when I get light headed and I have a half way anxiety attack. So they kept me hooked up to the monitors for about two hours and then my doctor came in. My doctor said he believes that although the ER doctor could be correct he thinks that I might be passing out because of the pain that I am in as well. As, my doctor, as smart as he is, wanted me to stay in the hospital until the baby is born on a morphine drip! WTF! I don't know how many times I have told him i am alegeric to morphine! I go into respatory distress, I am already having breathing problems, why kill me on top of that!? So then he said well why don't you let me give you demeral for the week then, I said to him, as I have about five or six times before, it makes mr throw up uncontrollably. Then he wanted me to stay and get stadoll(sp). Which in a non-narcotic but I just don't know. I had a very rough night, I was in so much pain I just don't know if it is prossible to be home on oral pain meads and survive all the pain. This is just getting so bad I cannot walk very well or at all for that matter. I passed out in the hallway tonight, No idea why, just keeled over. I dont want to go back to the hospital and stay because I know it will end up being a week and a half stent there becuase i will stay until my c-section next wednesday(8days) plus then have to stay 2-3 days for recovery. So 10-11 days more in the hospital when I have already been there a total of ten nights in the past month is just horrible. I have no idea what I am going to do. But I will try to keep everyone posted on my progress.

Aug 21-26 Back to the hospital again at 11:30pm. My contractions were rising 60-70 points on the TOCO at every three mins. They admitted me about 20 mins after I got there and started me off witha 8mg boost of Mag. and then it went down to 4mg/hour I started getting really sick from the Mag. so they turned it down tothe normal 2mg.hour -Aug 22- Doc came in first thing in the morning and said I would be there for three to four days. The day went good until the afternoon when I started getting contractions again and I got a 4mg/30min boost. That evening I was very upset and spoke with the doctor on the phone and told him I just could not take all the back pain anymore. I asked him if he would do and amneo. early and see if Dean's lungs are ready. The doc said no, that it is just to early. -Aug23- Doc came in first thing and said that he will keep me in the hospital until birth on September fifth if the sontractions don't stop. The sontractions starrted right back in that afternoon and I got another 4mg/30 boost which made the contractions subside a bit, The contractions started to come back in the evening(which I can now tell when thye are going to start, cramping and back pain start) so I told them and they gave me an IV-Valum shot which did not stop the contractions but mae them non-threatening and not painfull. -Aug 24- The Doc came in first thing and said that he would take me off of the Mag. and put me back on Treb. if I have no more than six contractions in an hour. At 12:45pm the contractions came back full porce and I got another IV-Valum which seems to work so far. At 4pm contractinos came back in. After they gave me vicodin noting changed so they put me back on the Mag. at 4mg/30 min and nothing changed. I started getting alot of pressure but since Dean is transverse I know it is not him decending and it is just him lying on my hips. Doc did not want me to get checked just incase it made my labor worse. In the mean time the contractions just kept getting worse and they gave me two valum pills (10mg-they cannot give me anymore IV-Valum because it could start giving baby problems) and after about an ohour everything started to settle down. Then,... my oxygen level started to dro and was not maintaining a steady lever as well as my heart rate. My husband and murse had to set with me and get the levels up and after about an hour they leveled out really good. Later that evening I started contracting again and the gave me 2 perkacet(sp), two hours later I was still contracting so they gave me two Ambien as well. -Aug 25 - At 6am started contracting again and the the Doctor came in and said that he might take me off of the Terb. the following morning and try the Treb. again and maybe go home Monday. 11am started contracting and minimal cramping but they went away on their own. At 12:45 contractions started in really hard again and the nurse gave me a Perkaset(sp) for my back pain and to try to make me relax. At about 1:30pm the contractions were still there and so they gave me two Valum to try to relaw my whole body. At 3:00The contractions started spreading out and got less painful. About 4:30 the nurse told me I could take a shower(they have a really cool shower with a comfy seat and all) and when I was done my husband was going to get me out and I stood up and started not fee; well at all so I sat back bown and told him to get the nurse, and I ended up passing out. Two nurses and my husband got me out of the shower and back to the bed and started running my vitals and as soon as I came to I started contracting again. After a bit the nurse called the doctor and he ordered a boost of the Mag. , two Valum, and two Ambien. Latre that night I called the doctor and told him no matter when i am going home tomorrow. Suprisingly, he said "Okay then." Aug 26- Sure thing my contractions came back in full swing so i called the nurse and got two Valum, it seemed to help the pain in my back but that is it. I called my mother to come down since my husband was at home with our son and she got there and started helping me through the contractions. At about 8am I started not feelnig well, kind of like I was going to get a head ache. So I called the nurse and she got my Tylenols. About 15 mins later I totally passees out. I endd up having a lack of oxygen again. The Doctor came in at about 8:45am and I was having a contraction when he walked in and HE STILL LET ME GO HOME!!!!! YAAAAA!!!! I am home now and I have ten days laft until delivery!

Aug 21- weeks with out going to the hospital. But sure as hell had to go today. Contractions since last night at 9:00pm and they just never let up. Went to the hospital and i had 13 contractions in 47 min. So they gave me a shot of Terbutaline and an oral pill then waited ten minto see if it would change my heart rate and since my heart rate did not go up they gave me another shot of it and waited 15 mins to see if my contractions would stop. Well they didn't. BUT, they got alot shorter. Thye were going at about 50-60 seconds on every contraction and after all the Terbutlaine they were only lasting about 20-30 seconds. So they let me go home. So I have to go two more weeks and then baby is coming out. I had my nurse speak with the head nurse supervisor when I was at the hospital and she confirmed my amneo and c-section and the Head boss lady said she will make sure that there as adaquit staffing that day at that time so I wont be turned away from the c-section. Which made me feel good knowing that she feels the same as my doctor about needing the baby out. I kinda felt like it was a really good second opinion.

So I went to my doctors appt this morning and everything went really good! I had lost the water weight I gained at the hospital so I am now back down to 202, which is 11 pounds less than what I was before I got pregnant. I went in with a laundry list of questions for him and I actually got all the answers I wanted to hear! There is still a chance that the baby could turn by himself. The fact that I have only had six contractions in a week was great and he said just keep up the good work. I will be getting my tubes tied when I have the baby. If we do have a c-section, the doctor gave us a step by step run through of what to expect and how everything will be done. And we filled out all the paperwork for the hospital for the fifth of September, so when I go in to have the amneo done we will deliver that day unless the hospital is really busy then we will do it the sixth or seventh. I finally had a doctors appt. that I left feeling good about everything. So, now the final countdown, three weeks left!....tick......tick......tick

Aug 4-8 - Well, Well, Well, where do I start. I just got home from the hospital this morning. I ended up going back down Saturday evening to the hospital with contractions every 2 mins and they admitted me. They had me on Magnesium Sufate from Saturday night until Tuesday morning. Then they took me off of it and put me back on terbutaline every four hours and I had no contractions for the past 24 hours. That has been nice. I did have an ultrasound Monday afternoon and the baby is just shy of 6 pounds. My fluid levels went down just a bit, from 18 to 15 so that is still a good level. They measured my cervex since every nurse had a different opinion on how far dialated I was, and it turns out I am thinning but not enough to be alarming. Which I was really happy about. I did get to understand how LONG my boy is though, his legs measured at 36 wks 5 days!!! This should be interesting! He is in a full Frank Breach position so I hope we can get him turned so I don't have to go through a c-section. They gave me the shots to boost his lungs(those hurt!!) and I am sure there are alot of things that happend taht I am not even remembering. I am just so glad to be home that I can't even explain. I wasn't even allowed a shower at the hospital, but I'll be damned if I aint taking on tonight when hubby gets home! It is just a day by day right now. They are just hoping that I can hold out two more weeks at the least, I am looking to go for four weeks. I will say I was really lucky that I had already had our hospital bag packed, I would have died without it! But, now I have to get hubby to re-pack everything again! haha!!

Aug 3 - Well, I don't know how long I will make it now. My doctor told me not to think about making it to next week, just worry about making it until tomorrow. So, I am just taking it one day at a time. And I was told that I now need to just look forward to 34 weeks, then I can deliver at our hospital without having to have to go to San Francisco. But, since I was having such bad contractions still this morning, I went back down to OB. I was there for all of 5 mins when my nurse came in and started treating me very rude. So rude she had me in tears. You would think she of all people should know not to upset a pregnant woman, let alone one in pre-term labor. She continued to be rude the next time she came in the room, so I just left. I unplugged my self from the monitors and just left in tears. She was telling me that I go to the hospital to much and that I needed to wait until I am actually in labor to come down next time. I felt like yelling at her, I AM TRYING TO NOT BE IN LABOR YOU BI*CH!!! But, when I got home I spoke with my Doc and he was pissed and said he was going to go to the hospital today and have a word with her and then I called and spoke with her supervisor. Oh well, I just can't wait until 34 weeks, so I don't have to worry quite as much. I have an u/s Monday now, we will see what comes outta that.
