It's Potty Time!!
posted on 09/24/2008

About a month ago Joshua and I bought a cute little pink potty for Madison. We have it in her bathroom to familiarize her with it. We have her sit on it before her bath, but no real pressure yet to use it. She really seems to like it. Lately during the day, she will say poo poo or pee pee and run to her bathroom and try to sit on her potty but she never makes it in time. It's a great start though! A few days ago she started to incorporate a book into her potty time. I have the cutest picture in the world of it but Josh told me not to post it (even though you cant see anything). She enjoys reading a good book while sitting on the potty just like Daddy! Just joking Joshua! I wouldn't say we are officially potty training yet, just getting her used to the idea. She seems to really understand the whole potty concept. Im not sure when, but one day soon we will get serious about it!

Also Madison loves to say Mommy now! It took her forever to really use it. I didn't think she would ever say it more than once a day! I love hearing it when she wakes up in the morning or from a nap.She finally says it more than Daddy!:) She will wake up and call my name over and over again over the baby monitor. It's a great feeling!

She picks up on new words and expressions constantly so I will try to summarize her talents. Her addictions these days are anything on Noggin, Yo Gabba Gabba, Gerber yogurt melts, and pretzel sticks. It is so adorable to hear her try to say pretzel!!! When you ask her what her name is, she says Maddi (She can't say Madison yet). If Madison sees a fire or snow on tv she will say hot or cold. She has learned some new letters of the alphabet and she knows the number 1 now as well as 2. When Madison wants to watch a movie she will point at her tv in her room and say moooey.Madison definately LOVES music and is starting to pick up words off of songs on the radio and sing them. No joke! She also enjoys cleaning! I will give her a wipe and she will gladly wipe her table off after eating or if Im dusting she will grab the duster and help. Before her bath, we have clean up time and she helps pick up the living room and her room every night! Ok I will stop going on about her awesomeness! Ha ha This child is so amazing!
