Wow it has been so long since I have updated the site! Time just flies by these days! Madison amazes us more and more everyday! Here are a few new things she has learned:
She loves to color and can recognize and say yellow, blue, and green so far.
Madison LOVES attention and when we are out she says hi to EVERYONE! If she says hi to someone and they don't say it back, she will get louder and keep saying hi over and over again. I don't know what to do about it. I can't teach her not to be nice and I try to tell her to tone it down a little, but of course she doesn't listen.
We got these foam letters for the bathtub and we showed them to her. Josh and I went over the letters a few times with her and she didn't seem to care so we left it alone. A few nights ago my mom was in town escaping Hurricane Ike, and held the letters up to her. She knew A,B,E,I, and O. I was so amazed I had tears in my eyes!! It was mind blowing to me.
I'm really sorry to all of our friends and family affected by hurricane Ike. My mom came up here to stay with us because my dad was in Shreveport,LA on business and I didn't want her to be alone. They received no damage to their house. Josh's mom still has no power but she did not have any damage. Josh's dad lost power for a while and had no damage as well. My Granny lives in Hackberry, LA and she just got her house rebuilt 6 months ago after losing it from hurricane Rita. I'm sorry to say she has lost her home again because of Ike. She has to start all over. It's hard on her but she is an amazing strong woman and I know she will make it through it. I love you Granny
