So much has happened in a few short weeks!!
Josh's Birthday was on the 5th. He had to do some work in Houston that week so we had a little get together with our friends to celebrate. Josh's mom offered to take Madison that weekend so Joshua and I could have some time together. This was the first time I have ever been away from Madison. It was so hard to leave her in Houston. I cried for a little while heading back to Dallas that Wednesday. We both missed her so much but we really enjoyed just hanging out. It was a really nice gift for both of us! We met Nana and Aunt Kelsie that Saturday in Buffalo to pick Madison up. When we saw her it seemed she had grown soooooo much! That evening Joshua was feeding Madison and she looked right at him and blurted out DaDa really loud and clear. Josh immediately had tears in his eyes and hugged her. It was the sweetest moment I have ever seen. She says it mostly when he's around as if she knows Josh is DaDa! She looks absolutely adorable saying it too! I cant wait till it's my turn!
We finally got her to drink juice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!! I gave her some to keep trying for her to taste it and it finally worked!!! She will drink it out of a bottle or a sippy cup!!
She is still trying really hard to crawl. She usually ends up working her way backwards. Some how she ends up wiggling, rolling, and squirming around on the floor. If she wants to get somewhere she will find a way! She can almost sit up on her own from a crawling position but not quite yet.
Madison found a new use for her Bumbo! She will pull herself up holding onto the bumbo (with one of us holding it securely) as well as our ottoman, or on one of us when we are sitting by her. She loves to be standing. She will move her feet and "walk" to us holding onto our hands. She has the movements down really well. We sometimes think she will walk before she crawls!
Madison also has learned to wave bye bye. She will wave bye to her daddy when he takes Tokin out and when he leaves for work in the morning. Also when she is in the mood and you ask her for a kiss, she will open her moth and lean close to you to give you a kiss. It's the cutest thing in the world.
These first six months have really flown by! Having Madison is such an amazing experience. We love every minute with our precious daughter. I cant wait to see what the next six months has in store for us!!
