It is official! Mommy is out of school for three months. I get to spend everyday with Haylee for three months! I am really EXCITED! We will have so much fun together.

Haylee is at the perfect age for a baby. She is just about 5 months old. Everything is funny to her. She will laugh and laugh at our dog, Macy. We can't figure out what it is that makes her laugh so hard, but it is REALLY cute.

Haylee has almost finished "trying" all of the 1st foods. I think we have one more fruit to try and then she can eat whatever we want to give her and move on to 2nds.

Haylee also enjoys playing. She LOVES the excersaucer. She will play with the toys. coo, and bounce up and down. Haylee is entertained with it for a good 30 minutes at a time.

I am looking forward to all of the quality time we will have together. She will be sitting up soon and maybe crawl. When Haylee is laying on her tummy, she will scoot her body, so she is close. What  a SMARTIE :o).

She makes us so proud and we love her more and more everyday. What a perfect little baby girl we have.

Today Haylee had her 4 month check up. She weighed in at 13 pounds, 2 ounces. She is now 24 1/2 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and 52nd for length. So, she is doing fine. Today's appointment was to see how she is growing and developing. They checked her neck strength and asked a lot of questions about how Haylee supports her head, if she coo's, laughs, notices objects, etc.

Haylee was also given 3 shots. She was such a trooper. After the nurse gave her, her first shot Haylee just stared at me without crying and then she let it out when she was given the next two. Once I was able to pick her up she was fine. She is a tough baby! :o)

It was also exciting because Haylee is now able to start on baby food. Tonight was our first night to try the baby food. We started her on squash. It was interesting. We will give her squash for three days then switch to something new. We will do this to make sure she doesn't have any allergies. The doctor told us to begin with the yellow vegetables, then green, then fruits. It will be a fun few weeks of feeding. Be sure to check the website for pictures of the adventure!! :o)

We are so happy that Haylee is doing so well. She is getting big and learning a bunch of new stuff. She is laughing and cooing all of the time. It is so much fun! What a precious angel we have!!

It's so hard to believe that our little angel is already 4 months old. It is amazing how fast time flies. Haylee has had a busy month. She was baptised, Easter, bluebonnets, a school family picnic in Weimer, and a sip and see shower at Mommies work. Haylee's easy going and sweet personality makes it easy for us to go out and do normal activities like we did when we were by ourselves. Travis and I love taking her out and showing her off to everybody. She makes us so proud!

Haylee is a very happy baby! She smiles all the time. She knows that she is cute. Whenever she hears the high pitch ewwing and awwing Haylee will flash that cute "Elvis" smile. It just melts our hearts.

This month she also began to laugh. It is the most precious sound. She is ticklish on ther thighs and tummy. Everyday we tickle her and do silly things to try to make her laugh. It's so funny how your life changes. We just love parenthood and everything that comes with it.:o)

Other changes that have been happening:

She's drooling A LOT! Haylee's trying to cut a couple teeth which is causing her to drool and chew on her hands. It also causes me to have to change her clothes a couple times a day because they end up soaking wet.

Haylee has officially started sucking her thumb. When she starts to get tired the thumb goes in the mouth. She is using the binkie less and less. It's really cute. We better start saving for braces!

Another change, Haylee has begun playing. She still loves the bouncer. She actually plays with the toybar now. She will hit the little animals and kick them. She also likes to lay on the floor, kick around and coo. One toy that she does not care for is the swing. For some reason every time we put her in it she cries. It looks like it would be fun to me! :o)

She also rolls over. She rolls over from back to front. Once she gets over on her tummy she lays there making a cute screeching noise, kicking her legs. It reminds me of the, I've fallin' and can't get up commercials, but cuter. :o)

It seems that Haylee is growing up very fast. Everyday we see something new. She is our pride and joy and the love of our lives. Haylee is a blessing.

We hope that everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter. Haylee had a great day. The Easter bunny left her a cute little basket full of goodies. In her basket she had cute hair clips to hold back that WILD hair, Astros onesies (maybe they will start winning), Baby Einstien My First Signs DVD, a stuffed pink bunny, a Precious Moments prayer buddy, and some wrist rattles. Travis and I had so much fun being able to play the Easter bunny! We can't wait until Christmas .

What a special day today is for Haylee. We are so proud of her. It was Haylee's first time in church and she did great!

Daddy and I both hope that you will always lead your life listening to your heart and keeping the Lord first. You have special angels looking over you always.

Where has the time gone?? Haylee is three months old. She is getting so BIG! She is now wearing some 3 month clothes. She is still eating 4 oz. of formula every four hours but sleeps all night, consistently.
Haylee has also begun teething. She has her first tooth that is trying to come through. It is her right incisor. This month Haylee went on her first overnight trip. During spring break we traveled to San Antonio as well as Brenham. She did great!
Travis and I have so much fun with her. It is the best feeling when she smiles at the sound of your voice. We are expecting her to rollover any day now. She is SO close. Haylee is so strong. She loves to lay on her tummy and look around. She is very observant. You can see in her big blue eyes that she is looking around taking everything in. She is such a smart little girl. :o)

Another month has flown bye. Haylee is really holding her head up well now. She has since day one. What a strong girl! She is also smiling! The best time to catch a smile is in the morning. Daddy usually gets the camera in the morning and takes some pretty pictures of Haylee. Mommy is off to work again. It was so hard to leave Haylee, but I know she is in great hands! Haylee has also found her hands. She tries to catch the bears in her bassinet. She also pulls hair, including her own. Haylee is beginning to fill out now, which means she is eating well :o). We are looking forward to what the next month has in store for us.

Time goes bye so fast. We have learned so many new things about our little girl and parenthood. It is so much fun. She always makes us smile. We can watch her sleep for hours. She is such a doll. Most of her time is spent sleeping right now. We went through a few rough nights but we now have Haylee's reflux under control.
