Dave, A friend of ours came to meet Bailey just hours before he died and said that everytime she looked at him that she thought of those very same words. So it's official he really was too beautiful for this earth.
Thank you Dave and thank you to everyone who has visited Bailey's website and has written such beautiful messages. We had a baby boy who was really worth knowing and I'm so proud that through this website people are getting to know him. In the words of his daddy's poem 'You stand out like a beacon in a world of hate and strife, and everyone who knew you is richer for your life'.
Thank you all for sharing in Bailey's life. He really was a little hero and is missed desperately. Bailey took a part of us with him, and we will never be the same again. |

Bailey - I followed your brief life from afar, and cried more times than I'd care to admit. On a forum devoted to those who had died, it was inspiring to see the efforts made by someone trying to live.
At the end you seemed to be at peace, and with such love from your family. The lines from a song kept coming into my head 'this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you', but to never have the chance to decide for yourself seems the greatest cruelty.
If it ever happens to me I pray that I have your parents love and strength - you couldn't ask for more. |

i found this verse and thought it was apt- perfect to remember the little man
A little boy
A special friend
A little fighter
Right to the end
Gone from our lives
But not from our hearts
We'll keep you there always
Like we have from the start |

| I feel that with many Pals at the Great War Forum , I shared in a miniscule way , this little chaps great fight for life. He was no less of a soldier than the men of 14-18. I have huge admiration for the way the family have shared him with us all and let us all get inspiration from his life. |
